🔁 Returns & Refunds Policy

We want you to love everything you get from Simply Aquatic — whether it's a shrimp, a sponge filter, or something in between.


🛍️ Dry Goods (Non-Livestock)

If you’ve ordered the wrong item, changed your mind, or received something that’s not quite right:

  • You can return most unopened, unused items within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • Please contact us first so we can approve the return.

  • Return shipping is at your cost unless the error was ours.

  • Refunds are issued once we receive and inspect the returned item.

We’re hobbyists too, so we’ll always try to find a fair and reasonable solution.


🐠 Livestock

Due to the nature of live animals, we unfortunately don’t accept returns or refunds on livestock once they’ve been delivered — but we do offer limited protection through our DOA Guarantee:

If any livestock arrives dead:

  • Contact us within 1 hour of delivery with clear photos of the unopened bag.

  • We may offer a refund or replacement at our discretion, excluding shipping fees.

We cannot offer coverage if:

  • No one was available to receive the delivery.

  • The wrong address was provided.

  • The animals were removed from the shipping containers.
