The Blonde Tuxedo Guppy is a striking livebearer variety known for its pale, almost golden “blonde” body contrasted with a deep black “tuxedo” marking that extends from the mid-body to the tail. These hardy, colourful fish are a favourite among both beginners and seasoned aquarists, bringing movement and vibrancy to any community aquarium.

Care & Behaviour
Blonde Tuxedo Guppies are peaceful and active, making them excellent additions to community tanks with other small, non-aggressive species. They do best in planted aquariums where they can display natural behaviour and feel secure. Like all guppies, they are prolific livebearers, so expect regular fry if both males and females are kept together.

Parameters

  • Temperature: 22–28°C

  • pH: 6.8–7.8

  • GH: 8–12 dGH (moderately hard water preferred)

  • Tank size: 40L minimum for a small group

Diet
These guppies thrive on a varied diet of high-quality flake or micro-pellets, supplemented with live or frozen foods such as daphnia, brine shrimp, or bloodworms. A balanced diet helps maintain their brilliant colouration and overall health.

Breeding
Blonde Tuxedo Guppies breed readily in home aquariums. Females give birth to live young approximately every 4 weeks. To increase fry survival rates, provide dense plant cover or separate breeding tanks, as adults may prey on their own offspring.

Livestock Disclaimer
Fish are sold unsexed and may vary slightly in size, shape, and colour from photos shown. Natural variation between individuals is normal. Please acclimate carefully; we cannot accept responsibility for losses caused by improper acclimation or unsuitable tank conditions.
