Scud / Gammarus Starter Culture

Scuds (Gammarus spp.) are hardy freshwater amphipods that make a fantastic addition to aquariums, both as a live food source and as part of the clean-up crew. These active little crustaceans are excellent detritivores, constantly grazing on algae, decaying plant matter, and leftover food. They are also highly nutritious, making them a favourite live treat for fish, shrimp, and fry.
